Book Review

What not to buy!

"according to physiological law, all natural, normal functions of the body are achieved without peril or pain. Birth is a natural, normal physiological function for normal, healthy women and their healthy babies. It can, therefore, be inferred that healthy women, carrying healthy babies, can safely birth without peril or pain." Dr Jonathan Dye, 1891

When are they?

I run group classes on Weekend mornings. I run individual classes at your convenience in the evening or weekends.

Where are they?

I run group classes in my home in West Sheffield, or in other venues for larger groups. Individual classes are held either at my or your home. I find it particularly useful to the couples if we hold sessions in their home if they are planning a home birth.

How much are they?

£395 for one to one sessions in your home
£250 per couple in a small group.
(A concessionary rate is offered for those in genuine financial hardship please contact me for my tuition discount policy)

When can I start classes?

You can normally begin classes once you are 3 months pregnant. However, there is no cut off point. You will be able to be benefit from classes even if you are 37+ weeks pregnant – though in those special cases we would have to run the classes closer together. To get the benefit of HypnoBirthing throughout your pregnancy it is a good idea to enrol on the next available course, giving you much more time to practice and use the techniques to help you to have a wonderful pregnancy as well as birth.

Some people however join classes for a couple of sessions before pregnancy, or at the beginning, and them join the final 2 classes nearer to the end of the pregnancy. This is a great way to get MAXIMUM benefit of the HypnoBirthing philosophy & techniques!

When are the Group Classes?

Weekend mornings & some evening classes available.

When are the Individual Classes?

I can fit in with your timetable when working on an individual basis. I recommend spacing the sessions a week apart wherever possible, which allows you plenty of time to practice the techniques in between sessions.

Who comes to the classes?

The pregnant mum usually attends the classes with the person who will be her birthing companion. This can be your partner, sister, doula, mother … whoever you choose that will be helping you with your birthing experience. If you would like other people to attend as well we can chat about that too.

The reason we ask you to come with your birthing companion is because of the role they will play in your birthing experience. They will be playing an active role, and be given specific tools they can use to help you to have a safer, easier and more comfortable birth

If you are interested in taking control of your birth experience, then contact me on 0114 2309 114 or email me with your phone number and a convenient time for me to call you back.
